Express Gateway

A hosted checkout and hosted session are quick and easy to set up. They allow you to collect payment through pages hosted on Sathapana Gateway so that you do not need to handle the payment details directly.
Hosted checkout is a secure and compliant way to easily accept online payments and can be implemented as either a page embedded on your website or as a page hosted and displayed by the Sathapana Gateway.

  • Customer begins the payment process at your online store and your application submits a JavaScript request with the required data to the MasterCard Payment Gateway
  • Customer is shown the payment interface which displays your business information and also the payment form to be completed. The Customer completes the required information and clicks Pay, and the Mastercard Payment Gateway verifies the payment details and processes the payment.

Note: If you are configured for other payment services or digital wallets they will display as a payment option alongside the card options. Should the customer choose one of these options they will be directed to the service provider’s website to complete the transaction.

If you are configured for 3-D secure service the payer will be prompted to authenticate before completing the payment. You can choose to bypass this authentication.

3. If the payment is successful a success message is shown and the customer can collect the receipt from one of 3 sources.

  1. a. A Mastercard Payment Gateway hosted receipt page (default)
  2. b. Your online store
  3. c. Email notifications (You must be subscribed to customer notifications)

If the payment is unsuccessful the customer will be shown the result with the option to retry the transaction or try with different payment details.

What are the different payment channels?

You can accept payments through a number of different local and international payment channels including most domestic and international credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex).

What are the fees?

Fees depend on the services implemented and the merchant agreement. Please speak with our Customer Success Team for more information.

When are funds paid to my account?

Funds will be automatically processed and transferred to your bank account within 24 to 72 hours.

If there is a dispute regarding a transaction, how will it be handled?

Customers can directly enquire with you about your refund policy. A merchant dashboard is available to manage the process and any refunds or partial refunds required.

If a chargeback for a transaction is made how will it be handled?

In the case of a chargeback the bank will contact you through your merchant dashboard. You will be able to manage the process by either accepting or disputing the chargeback and supplying supporting evidence as required.
